Presidential aircraft Air Force One carrying U.S. President Barrack Obama finally landed on the Prime Kusuma Halim Airport in East Jakarta, on Tuesday (09/10/2010) this afternoon. The plane landed at around 16:25 pm in Jakarta, under the dark sky covered with clouds.
President Barack Obama will be in Indonesia for two days, 9 and 10 November 2010. In addition to holding a bilateral meeting with President Yudhoyono and attend a state dinner at the Presidential Palace, Obama is also scheduled to speak at Istiqlal Mosque, visit Kalibata Hero Cemetery, and deliver a public lecture at the University of Indonesia campus in Depok.
This is Obama's visit as president for the first time to Indonesia. Several times a planned visit to Indonesia was delayed due to various problems in the country in the U.S.. This visit is a series of short a trip to Asia. Obama's first visit to India, before going to Indonesia, and will leave for South Korea to attend the G20 meeting.
