Angela Scoular, wife of Leslie Phillips, has died after drinking chemicals in an incident that allegedly committed suicide.
65 years old actress, who starred in two Bond films, had been suffering from colon cancer. He played as Buttercup in Casino Royale in 1966 and as Ruby Bartlett in On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1969.
Police went to her home in Maida Vale, London, at 13:50 pm Monday after she fell due to toxic liquids. The actress was rushed to the hospital, but doctors could not save him and he died at 5:28 pm.
Police investigating his death. Previously, Phillips, 86, described how his wife had to remove the cancer her wish to live.
Speaking from his home, he described it Monday as the worst day of his life. "I did not know she would end her own life. I suspect that it's probably because she has fallen into a deep sadness. She underwent a terrible time."
"She was never free from the disease. I feel very sorry for her. Other diseases have begun to creep in.. After three years she had cancer always get other diseases."
Stars Carry On Phillips married Miss Scoular, who 21 years younger, in 1982. He met with the actress was in 1976 when they play in the same drama.
They lived together for five years and married after Phillips's first wife, Penny, died.
