Phuket, the Amazing and eExciting

Do not have a plan to spend the turn of the year? Field trip to Phuket, Thailand. In addition to beautiful beaches, this island also has an amazing natural wonders, too breathtaking.

Obviously Phuket has the best beaches in the world. Call it Patong, Karon, Kata, or Kamala. Various travel magazine, including a survey by Lonely Planet, called the Phuket as the world's favorite tourist sites. With the warm weather throughout the year, Phuket offers all beach activities, from swimming, sunbathing, sleeping on the couch while waiting for sunset, to try Jetski and parasailing.

The majority of travelers who roam around the beach is white tourists. Most come from Sweden, England, Scandinavian countries, also Australia. Tourists from Asia usually come from Japan and Malaysia. Not many Indonesian people I met here. According to some tour guide from a travel agent Indonesia, when a visit to Thailand, Indonesia tourists prefer to Bangkok which is a shopping paradise.

In fact, now with a more economical budget, we can berpelesir to Phuket. Direct flight from Jakarta to Phuket recently opened by Air Asia will be increasingly easier for travelers from Jakarta to it. Similarly, tourists who want to continue his vacation to Indonesia.

Small islands

Besides beaches, other places must be visited during your stay in Phuket is a small islands around Phuket are included in the National Park of Thailand. There are two main islands are frequently visited. Certainly the most famous Phi Phi Island, which became the location of acting Leonardo Di Caprio in the movie The Beach.

On this visit I was invited to enjoy the other islands are no less popular, the James Bond Island and other islands in the surrounding area is still included in Ao Phang Nga National Park. In the language of Thailand, the island called Ko Tapu. However, this island now better known as James Bond Island since the shooting location of James Bond film, The Man with the Golden Gun, starring Roger Moore decades ago.

If you are staying in Patong, the trip to the island takes two hours. One hour by bus to the dock, followed by a large ship. When the rains and bad weather, we can not come here. Thankfully, today's sunny weather so we could go there.

If you do not go with the group, there are many services that offer package tours trip to Phi Phi Island or James Bond Island. The price start from 1500 bath (approximately USD 450,000) per person, includes boat and lunch.

The ship that we were riding quite large, consisting of two no. The first floor serves as kitchen, where stacked canoes, and also the toilet. Meanwhile, the passengers can sit on the second floor that can accommodate up to 50 passengers. The average of the crew spoke English. During the journey to the island, our boat captain named Nik loudly explaining in detail about the four islands that became our destination that day.

With fluent English, and carrying a book of photographs and maps, he describes the condition of each island we would go. The sky was bright and friendly waves to make the journey comfortable. Not feel we arrived at James Bond Island. The ship that we were riding back a few hundred meters from the island. To land on the island, we use a canoe riding two passengers plus a guide to rowing.

Characteristic of this island is a small island shaped like a nail. In the middle of the island there is a small sandy beach smooth. All around there are a few souvenir sellers who sell a variety of shellfish and pearl handicrafts. However, the offer price is quite expensive so you need to bid by half. Quite a lot of tourists who come here so that the small beach looked overcrowded. Less than 30 minutes, we've had to go back to the ship.

The big surprise waiting for us on the ship, with a menu of food that most of the seafood was served at long tables neatly. With gusto, every passenger who ate the most delicious dishes that. Besides fish flavored sweet sauce, the chef also prepares a variety of ships other delicious menu, such as squid, shrimp, soup, pineapple fried, and fried rice. Cold drinks are also available for visitors. It is the dessert of tropical fruit typical of Thailand, such as pineapple and watermelon.

Finished eating, until we reached the second island, namely Hong Island. Still using a canoe, we were invited around to enjoy the beauty of the island whose name means "room" was. There is only one small door for entry into the middle of the island. For 30 minutes we were enjoying the calm sea water that is surrounded by limestone cliffs towering solid. Our guide as he rowed show rocks resembling a certain figure, such as Scooby Doo or the Buddha.

Thrilling adventure

Back to the ship, we settled into the third island, which is Phanak Island. If anything, this is a thrilling adventure. For toward the middle of this island, the traveler must pass through a door which also serves as a way out. For the past, we have to wait for sea-level where possible.

When sea water is too high, the door of a cave island reefs that can not be skipped, otherwise if the sea water receded, the center of the island can not be bypassed by a canoe because it was only mud. What if we are already in the middle of the island and the water receded? "We will wait for 3 hours until the tide again," Nik said calmly.

Because of the limited capacity of canoe and probably drowned, we were required to leave bags and our luggage on board. "Just bring your wallet and camera," Nik said as she distributed plastic bags to store the camera and our wallets.

In addition to sea-level problem, there was one thing that most makes adrenaline accelerated. Because the cave ceiling is low, we were required to be in a position to sleep in the canoe. In addition to a very thin space between the body and the ceiling of the cave, the conditions in the driveway of a very dark, so we had to bring a flashlight so that not one of our guides lead canoe. Travel for 10 minutes it seemed very long. One of our party who was plump worry admitted to shaking his skin torn by sharp rocks.

Luckily we soon arrived at the center of the island which has some mangrove trees. Satisfied around, we returned to test the path through the reef balls while sleeping. At noon it was quite a lot of travelers who come to canoe Phanak Island so we had to queue. Our guide also had to work hard to keep a canoe does not collide in the middle of the pitch-black rock. Some canoes had to be reduced wind to fit into the track. We also have to be careful not to parts of our bodies out of the canoe, if not to scratch the rock. Fun and exciting.

Satisfied with canoe adventure, we finally reached the last island, the Lawa Island. This small island has white sand is very soft. The view out towards the Andaman Sea also makes this place as a fitting location to spend the day relaxing. The visitors can also rent a recliner complete with umbrella for leyeh-leyeh the shore. It costs about 150 bath.

Unfortunately there are no coral reefs around the island so that we can not snorkeling or fishing. However, we can satisfy ourselves for swimming or canoeing in the clear green water. If you want to spend the night here, so visitors can rent a tent or a resort.

Because the body is tired, I chose to hold a towel and lay down in the sand that lies beneath the tree. Cool breeze that makes my heart feel so relaxed. Imperceptibly, the day began to dusk. Before the sun crept out, we returned to the boat canoe ride. We were ready to sail home accompanied by clouds spoiled.
