How to Steam the Face at Home

Steam is one of the best ways to get rid of dirt face. Steam is also good to avoid clogged pores and acne.

If you do not want to spend a lot of cost to make steam in a beauty salon, steam do it at home. Here are tips to make steam at home, as quoted from changed from gorgeous.

For owners of greasy face, steam can be done every day. And those who have dry skin, you should make steam once a week.

Before performing the steam treatment, clean the face of all makeup and excess oil with a mild soap with no fragrances that can make the skin is irritated. Boil a pot of water and add lemon slices or essential oils like lavender, chamomile or rosemary for more benefits gained.


Put faces to the hot water. Do not forget to put towels on the back of the head to prevent water vapor out. It is good to keep the steam is more efficient. Do not forget to close your eyes and mouth while doing this treatment. Lemon or essential oils in water to create eye irritation.

Sit for 15 to 20 minutes until the steam disappear. But do not do this treatment more than 20 minutes. For sensitive skin, you should make steam for 10 to 15 minutes. After the steam treatment is finished, clean your face with warm water and dry with a towel.

Once your face is clean and the pores were open, you should exercise care facial masks because it's easy to mask the entrance into the pores.
