Bono's Stocks Increased Four Times on Facebook

Bono (50), big band U2's lead singer and global anti-poverty activist, now has nearly 500 million pounds of shares up, after its investment in the social networking business increased to nearly four-fold over the past 12 months.

The astute businessman to buy shares up 1.5 percent or 130 million pounds in 2010. However, now, the value becomes 485 million pounds, because the value of the company soared from 8 billion pounds to 32 billion pounds last week.


Bono is a managing director at investment firm Elevation Partners, which he founded together with other parties in 2001. Since that year, the company is to dredge more than 1.1 billion pounds in the media, entertainment, and technology, including the site Yelp. However, the company called the worst investor in America after buying a 25 percent stake in mobile communications, Palm and slumped.

In 35 years, Bono and his colleagues in U2 has sold more than 150 million copies of albums.
