I recently re-watched the mini-series that introduced Serpentor to the GI Joe series.  One of the things that he always said was “This I Command.”  I kind of liked Serpentor, and he was a great foil for Cobra Commander.  I know that a lot of Joe fans hated him, but I thought his origin was pretty original at the time.  He always came across as a spoiled brat because his DNA build up was incomplete, which meant he was another terrible leader just like Cobra Commander.
Plus, the man was such a badass that he wore live snakes on his outfit, which he used as weapons.
By the way, I really hated the way the DiC series wrote him out of the show.
I actually had the toy too that came with the floating chariot.

Serpentor just needed a hug...
