An American Wins the July 4th Stage of the Tour De France: Tyler Farrar Wins Third Stage
American Tyler Farrar, riding for Team Garmin, won the third stage of the Tour De France, waving the red, white, and blue in France on Independence Day. An appropriate gesture considering the French were our allies during the war thanks to the statesmanship of Benjamin Franklin.
Here's the top ten in the general classification. Please note Farrar didn't make up enough time to take the overall leader's jersey from his teammate Thor Hushovd.
