Rush Limbaugh Coming to Joplin for Fourth of July: Can El Rushbo Save Joplin from Big Government Republicans?
Tornado hit Joplin, Missouri, has become a poster child for big government. You can thank big government republicans like Billy Long and Roy Blunt for that. Everywhere you look is FEMA and both Congressman Long and Senator Blunt are pushing for new higher levels of federal funding through FEMA, levels that will set to precedence for future disasters and of course produce more debt. These are Republicans I remind you who ran on small government platforms while embracing the Tea Party.
Limbaugh's appearance can't come soon enough.
Rush says he is coming to Joplin with his new brand of tea and to plant conservative seeds. I say good, because our Congressman forgot what it means to be conservative a long time ago--if he every really knew. Rush will participate in the Fourth of July festivities as the city celebrates the Fourth just a few weeks after a tornado took out most of the city.
Here's what he can expect. You can bet Congressman Billy Long will pester him for photo ops and share his days as a talk show host on KWTO. However, unlike Rush who is also on KWTO, Long never generated much of an audience and was primarily seen as a blowhard. Of course big government Billy will brag about meeting Rush on Twitter while probably not mentioning his push for big government across the board from his push to take away HAM radio frequencies for more government to pushing the levels of FEMA to new levels.
Oh Rush, please save Joplin and plant those conservative seeds we need that our fed up Congressman hasn't delivered.
And thanks for remembering Joplin none the less.
Rush will be arriving in Joplin around 8:00 PM. The celebration starts at 3:00 PM at Landreth Park. Rush will also be bringing two semi-trucks full of his new ice tea, Two if by Tea. Rush joked it would be like Dan's Bake Sale, which is ironic, because I have made the suggestion Congressman Long should learn from Rush and Dan's Bake Sale and realize the power of the American people and their generosity for charity is a much safer bet than demanding every penny you can get in a Faustian deal with FEMA and the federal government.
Remember, Hurricane Katrina victims who dealt with FEMA are now getting notices in the mail that FEMA wants their money back.
