Abbey Road Studies and Crossing Designated "Heritage Status"

It's perhaps the most famous road crossing in the world thanks to the Beatles. Their cover Abbey Road immortalized the crossing making it one of the most photographed roads in the world as fans photograph themselves walking where the Beatles crossed. Now, in England the crossing combined with Abbey Road Studios has been designatied "Heritage Status," which is a lot like the national register for historic places.

The crossing and adjacent Abbey Road Studios were included in a list of buildings and street features that now enjoy special protection after being awarded listed status in the past 12 months.
