Billy Long talked a good game from the floor of the House of Representatives today.
The problem here is Billy Long has done little to put the brakes on spending as we head towards the cliff. Based on what I have seen, Long is helping race towards the same cliff:
Long voted to continue funding to the tune of $1.25 billion a frivolous law suit against the USDA in which the race card was played.
Long didn't come up with one spending cut during the HR1 debate, in which the GOP promised us $100 billion in spending cuts. The GOP failed to come up with these spending cuts because Congressmen like Long voted to continue wasteful spending like federal sponsorship of NASCAR teams.
Long has sponsored two bills that grow government, and one of these bills removed power from the private sector.
While I agree that Obama has got the pedal to the metal and driving towards the cliff, Billy Long's cowboy boots have done little to put any pressure on the brakes.
