Has Sarah Steelman Burned Too Many Bridges in the Republican Party?

Enthusiasm for Sarah Steelman remains low. With second quarter federal election commission reports in, Steelman spent more money last quarter than she took in. Her total take for quarter two was just over $200,000. Small numbers when you consider how much Steelman said it would take to defeat Claire Mama Caskill.

One has to wonder if Steelman's reputation and past history of attacking fellow Republicans has caught up with her as its obvious the Steelman for Senate campaign appears to have lost ground. In 2008, Republicans still remember how a desperate Steelman attacked her Republican primary opponent Kenny Hulshof with intensity through campaign ads, which many claim hurt the eventual Republican primary winner's chances to win the governor's race.

Of course, it's probably that combined with the fact Steelman has questionable ties to Democrats, has seen trial attorneys get special privileges, and of course really seems to have problems grasping some of the key issues.
