When Eric Cantor said there would be no aid for Joplin after May's tornado without making cuts first, Congressman Billy Long was silent. He didn't stand up for the people of Joplin and demand Cantor put politics aside as Joplin dug out. He just didn't comment. Many people took notice.
It turns out there may be a good reason why Billy Long didn't publicly challenge House Majority Leader Cantor. It appears Cantor made a huge donation to Long's campaign.
Cantor's PAC made a $5,000 donation to Long's campaign. So is this the reason why Long put Cantor before the people of tornado ravaged Joplin?
