Lance Armstrong is challenging the federal government in the same manner he took on Mont Ventoux--aggressively. You have to applaud since the US government really has no Constitutional authority to punish Armstrong for testimony from fellow cyclists who claim Armstrong doped--doped in EUROPE.
Armstrong's new attorneys have filed a motion in court accusing bureaucratic scumbag Jeff Novitzky, who has taken a European vacation on the taxpayer's dime looking for a doping trail, of character assassination.
The lawyers, led by John W. Keker of San Francisco, contend that leaks about Armstrong - which have fed damaging stories by “60 Minutes,” Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press - had “the obvious intent of legitimizing the government’s investigation of a national hero, best known for his role in the fight against cancer.”
“Each leak has been designed to propagate public support for this investigation by smearing Armstrong and tarnishing his reputation,” says the 20-page motion, filed late Thursday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, where the grand jury is sitting. “These circumstances are crying out for an investigation.”
Of course Novitzky, who is referred to at the federal steroid cop, has made quite the name for himself pursuing professional athletes, but of course he has spent millions of your tax dollars to earn this name and what benefit has it given this country who is $14.3 trillion in debt.
The fact, Novitzky is ready to push charges against Armstrong for things he did outside of Novitzky's jurisdiction proves how dangerous the American police state has come.
Good for Lance to challenge this idiot!
