Add Police Chief Kelly Morningstar to the growing list of lemonade tyrants in America. Morningstar shut down a child's lemonade stand in Midway, Georgia. The reason for shut down: because the little girl didn't have a business license and didn't know how the lemonade was made, who made it, or what was in it. You know you can buy pre-made lemonade at the store these days...
The girls needed a business license, peddler's permit and food permit to operate, even on residential property. The permits cost $50 a day or $180 per year.
14-year-old Casity Dixon, says the three had to listen to police and shut down.
So the noble act of a child learning responsibility through work to earn something is once again attacked by the establishment. Casity and her friends were simply trying to earn money to go to a water park, and thanks to the American police state, there are more children in America discouraged to engage in the entrepreneurial spirit that drives America.
