With unemployment high, it appears the Obama administration's next attack to put American out of jobs is the trucking industry. All to carry out the proposed NAFTA Super Highway, also known as the North America Free Trade Corridor, the Obama administration decided today it would let Mexican truck drivers on American highways to haul cargo. Talk about a nightmare for safety and immigration!
Officials have signed an agreement allowing Mexican trucks to transport cargo throughout the United States.
The three-year memorandum of understanding was signed in Mexico City on Wednesday. It at least temporarily resolves a 16-year dispute over terms of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Until now, Mexican trucks have only been allowed to travel within a southwestern U.S. buffer zone.
