National Journal Describes Sarah Steelman's Campaign as "In Trouble"

As the second quarter wrapped up, Sarah Steelman said it was going to take at least $14 million to beat Claire McCaskill. Based on her own words and the lack of enthusiasm for her campaign based on a second dismal fund-raising quarter, perhaps it is time for Sarah Steelman to retire from politics.

Had she set her sights on Missouri's Seventh District, she may have had a shot of serving in Washington. I have no doubt she could have beat Billy Long, a bumbling idiot whose not-so-clever soundbites prove he has no business in Washington. For some reason, she felt it was her turn, after failing to win a primary to governor, to run for the US Senate. Missourians apparently aren't excited.

The National Journal describes the Steelman campaign as "in trouble."

Former Missouri Treasurer Sarah Steelman's fundraising woes continued in the second quarter: she only raised $200,000 and spent more than she took in, finishing with about $181,000 in the bank.
Steelman is already being outraised by Rep. Todd Akin, R-Mo., and with the prospect of businessman John Brunner (who would have the ability to self-fund) entering the race, Steelman's early fundraising struggles are a sign of trouble.

I have an idea that would be a win/win situation for Steelman. Drop out of the US Senate Race and announce you will challenge Bozo's owner for Congress. I would simply love to see a debate between Billy Long and Sarah Steelman. It would probably look something like this, and it's a fact, Steelman would be an easy improvement over Ozark Billy. How much of one, well...
