Still Confused About Where Billy Long Really Stands on Obamacare: Crying Towel or Federal Mandate?

Back when the Springfield media had a couple guys who attempted to report politics, the KY3 Political Notebook wrote the following of now Congressman Billy Long:

But throughout his humorous and off-the-cuff repertoire, Long has a tendency to make some statements that could come back to haunt him. He mocked the plight of the uninsured ("Get out the crying towel") and claimed that 26 million people under 35 probably don't want health insurance anyway.

Long's recent conversation with Sarah Steelman on the subject shows Republican Long supports the Obama mandate that requires health insurance companies to cover "children" up to the age of 26. I am a little confused once again on where Billy Long stands on Obamacare. It's almost as if early on in his political career he targeted conservative Tea Party types by tapping into their anger directed at Obamacare for votes, only to throw that out the window as he clearly on multiple occasions shows his support of various mandates contained in the new healthcare reform law.

(Listen at about 2:50)

So what is it Billy? Young adults don't want insurance or you think it's the federal government's job to mandate insurance company to force coverage until age 26, which obviously signifies they do want insurance?

As well, Long believes the federal government shouldn't tell Americans what they must purchase, but he does feel the federal government should tell insurance companies what they must cover. Seems a little hypocritical doesn't it?

Billy's brain works in goofy sort of ways...
