Congressional Blues Festival: Your Tax Dollars At Work in the Middle of the Debt Ceiling Debate

Let's not let a $14.3 trillion deficit and debt ceiling debate hold back Congress from having a good time on your dollar. As the conversation drags about raising the debt ceiling and raising taxes, Congress is just a week away from another grand celebration funded by your tax dollars, The Annual Congressional Blues Festival.

I hate to rain on these Congress critters pleasures, but come on! Are you serious? If you want to hear blues music go to concerts or better grungy bars in parts of town Congress critters probably feel they are too good to be seen in. Thus the taxpayer must foot the bill to entertain these bloated law makers once again. It's just shameful!

Of course, as you can see a government building is the venue, which means taxpayers are footing the bill for security, electricity, stage set up, etc. Kenny Wayne Shepherd, who I have paid my own money to see twice, is headlining.
