Diane Sawyer in Joplin after the Tornado

There was an interesting dichotomy a few years back that tested the American media. If you recall just a few days after Princess Diana died Mother Teresa passed away. The media felt obligated based on how much time they spent on Diana in the comforts of London to head to Calcutta to cover Mother Teresa's funeral. You get the feeling they really didn't want to be there.

That appears to be the case with Diane Sawyer broadcasting from tornado devastated Joplin. She doesn't seem at all thrilled to be there, griping about being in Joplin as a storm comes in. At what point she says we should really be in New York covering this.

How pathetic is this as she stands in what was someone's front yard! While I understand she is there to work, she seems cold over what just took place in Joplin.

Not only that, but she seems clueless like she hasn't even been on the planet for a few days. She says she has nothing, when all I saw when I helped in Joplin was story after story. These are the mindless robots who are reporting the news and shaping policy in America. Isn't it sad?
