I wonder if they will try to accuse Herman Cain, a black Republican, of playing the race card. For the first time I have seen, Obama's race is under fire.
The first question the New York Times’ Andrew Goldman asked regarded whether or not Cain had insinuated that Obama isn’t really a black man. Cain’s response is intriguing:
…Look, I’m not getting into this whole thing about President Obama. It is documented that his mother was white and his father was from Africa. If he wants to call himself black, fine. If he wants to call himself African-American, fine. I’m not going down this color road.
That statement caused Goldman to probe further. The reporter replied “But you‘re saying he’s not really a black man.” To that, Cain said:
Not in terms of a strong black man that I’m identifying with. I identify with a strong black man like Martin Luther King Jr., or my dad, Luther Cain Jr., who didn’t have a lot of formal education, but he had a Ph.D. in common sense.
While those are words that could lead Reverend Jeremiah Wright to the campaign trail, and I hope they do. You may recall this tirade from the pulpit.
Wrong, Mr. Wright, Obama is half white, rich, and privileged. This of course is the controversial church Obama placed his butt into the pew for 19 years while claiming he never heard Write give his hate speech sermons like the following sermon:
For killing innocent people Reverend Wright? I wonder what he thinks of the fact nine civilians died in Libya the other day including children thanks to Obama's illegal war.
Anyway, back to Herman Cain, let's hope his wars enrage Obama's America hating wacky pastor to come to Obama's defense. This could get fun.
