If the US is on the Verge of Defeating Al Qaeda, Will the TSA Soon be Phased Out

The New York Times reports that Leon Panetta believes Al Qaeda will soon be a distant memory thanks to the mighty United States military.

"Newly installed Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta, on an unannounced trip to Afghanistan, says the United States was "within reach of strategically defeating Al Qaeda" and that the American focus had narrowed to capturing or killing 10 to 20 crucial leaders of the terrorist group in Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen. Panetta, who rarely spoke on the record as CIA director, offered few details to bolster his assessment but intelligence officials say that computer files retrieved from Bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, showed that the organization was in dire need of money and struggling under persistent American drone strikes on its leadership."

So when do we begin phasing out the TSA at airports?

Oh, that's right, the TSA aren't in place to capture Al Qaeda terrorists trying to board an airplane, they are there to ensure you citizen are conditioned to federal tyranny and accept it that it is for your own good (safety). Want to bet DHS and the TSA are expanded even if this statement by Panetta comes to light?

I believe US officials are capable of saying these things to get our hopes up the world is safe, but the US will create a new boogey man as needed to continue creating unconstitutional powers over the people of America.
