Thomas Jefferson Was Right, and Arron Burr Should Have Shot Alexander Hamilton Sooner

There was an epic battle as our Republic was formed between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton fought for a strong centralized government with a central bank that would reduce the power of the states. Jefferson was strongly opposed and fought for less government from the federal government.

I was reading Thomas Jefferson and came across this solution, which if had been implemented, may have prevented this great debt ceiling battle we see today.

Jefferson pushed for a Constitutional amendment that would remove the federal government's power to borrow money as well he would have not given the Federal Reserve to print endless amounts of money as well. Think about how this would have changed the direction of our Republic had he been successful.

It's not like his argument was out of reach. It's quite clear. "I know that to pay all proper expenses within the year, would, in case of war, be hard on us. But not so hard as ten wars instead of one; for wars would be reduced in that proportion."

Without the ability to borrow, Obama wouldn't be able to commit the crimes against our Constitution like he is doing so in Libya.

We could learn a lot from Jefferson...
